Wreck-It Ralph Blu-ray Details
Wreck-It Ralph will be released on blu-ray and DVD February 12th. Here’s a list of the special features you can expect along with it’s release, thanks to CinemaBlend:
Bit by Bit: Creating the Worlds of “Wreck-It Ralph” – Fans of the film will get a look at five new worlds created for “Wreck-It Ralph.” The short takes viewers into Game Central Station with the artists who brought Sugar Rush, Hero’s Duty and Fix It Felix Jr. to life.
Alternate & Deleted Scenes – Four separate scenes are highlighted with an introduction and optional audio commentary from director Rich Moore.
Video Game Commercials – Viewers can check out the commercials created for the video games featured in the film - Fix It Felix Jr., Sugar Rush, Hero’s Duty and Fix It Felix Hammer.
“Paperman” – This animated short film played in theaters before “Wreck It Ralph.” It tells the story of a young man in an office who sees the girl of his dreams in a skyscraper window across the street. But how can he get her attention?
Disney Intermission: The Gamer’s Guide to “Wreck-It-Ralph” – When the film is paused, host Chris Hardwick appears on screen to guide viewers through a series of 10 video segments offering an inside look at the many video game references, Disney references and other hidden surprises featured in the film. (Blu-ray Exclusive)

I hope we get this in the UK (in like half a years time or whatever.)

I went through a short period of saying this, I knew it came from somewhere other than myself.

At the moment my film course is putting on a little festival; Pixelate. I’ve been getting very involved (I helped together the screenwriters exhibit and this afternoon got to chair a writing Q&A with James Henry) it’s not even the second night and it’s already a massive highlight of my year, or my entire university experience.

Just saw Prometheus…

…and people are wrong, they are far too hard on it. It’s a very good movie.

[I will note that most people are saying it bad because it failed to live up to their individual expectations, that’s not the films fault that’s your own.]

Admittedly there are some plot holes, silly science stuff (sound in space was one that bothered me) and it does jump the shark a little at the end. But all of that doesn’t equal a bad film, especially when it’s competing with elements such as a very good cast (Fassbender nailed it as David, almost stole the show) and a cool visual style (even the 3D was good, well passable a couple of shots worked with it, like the map table thing.) although the story is a little pfft but holds resonance within it’s context (it’s not a direct prequel to Alien but is within the same galaxy and contains crossover elements.)

But what a really impressed with was the tension, it was perfect. I was genuinely scared multiple times(*), and that doesn’t usually happen for me in films (occasionally I’ll get anxious about cringey films but never actually scared, I had to lock myself into a sitting pose so I wouldn’t jump at those surprise moments.)

It’s definitely worth your time, a very enjoyable film. But reign in your expectations it obviously wasn’t going be the greatest cinematic release because they all made that, it’s called Back to the Future.

[Edit: Also honestly, I wouldn’t be against seeing more space-age surgery in 3D.]

Just read that those photos were not of Iron Patriot but of the War-Machine armour branded. Phew.

If they had tried to crowbar in the Dark reign stuff but without Osborn it would’ve been a Spider-Man 3 level of train wreck.

I’m still a little nervous about the four (?) villains in the film, especially with the Extremis plot. But I still trust Shane Black to deliver something pretty incredible.

I still cannot get over how impeccable the cast of Hot Fuzz is.
